Professional forms customization

Design your own forms with the creative forms designer. Pick the layout that's right for your business, then choose from a list of form fields and design options to create invoices, statements, and other forms that reflect the style and professionalism of your business.

Insert your logo, watermark, or other background image using virtually any file format, and add borders and shading to the fields on your forms. The snap-to grid makes aligning fields and other elements automatic, and when you've completed designing your form, you can save it and print in color.

Improved bank reconciliation

  • Shading of entries as you clear them in your bank statement reconciliation window lets you more easily see what you’ve already checked and what remains to be cleared

  • Reconciliation report lets you choose the date from which to report your bank reconciliation
Recurring transaction enhancements

  • Regularly scheduled checks, invoices, depreciation entries and other scheduled transactions are expertly managed from a single location
  • View your list of recurring transactions, complete with 13 frequencies, post dates and amounts
  • Authorize your software to record your recurring transactions automatically, or have your software notify a particular person of transaction due dates
  • Select multiple cards to which to copy information to create a recurring invoice for many customers, or a recurring purchase order for many vendors at one time
  • Pop-up reminders tell you when it’s time to cut a check or record an invoice
Credit card processing

  • Sales and payments are recorded and processed at one time
  • Process transactions while on the road through the Payments Gateway website
  • Use the MYOB Payments Gateway to run reports and see if credit card receipts have been deposited into your account
  • Run reports to see which transactions were sent for a specific day

Card type memory

If you most often choose a particular card type (individual or company), your MYOB software will remember the type and default to it during your session.

Sales type memory

BusinessBasics will default to the sales type you are most often using (invoice, quote) within a session, so that you don’t have to make a new selection each time you create a new sale.

Customer payments

A new Payment button located on the sales invoice brings up the Receive Payments window completely filled out. Then either click the Receive All button or pay only a portion of the amount due.

Chart of Accounts

Creating new accounts is easier than ever as MYOB gives you a drop down selection of easily recognizable account types, such as Bank, Credit card, Cost of sales, etc. and automatically provides the correct first digit of the number.

Keep important account information handy for each general ledger account, including notes, bank account numbers, routing numbers, bank name and more.

Smart account selection

Version 2 makes accounting easier and more flexible. If you view your accounts by number, you’ll automatically be pointed to the most logical account type for your transaction. If you view your accounts by name, they’ll be easy to find by sorting them first by account type and then alphabetically within the type.

Bank deposit enhancements

While reconciling your statement, enter bank fees or interest earned in the new Deposit Adjustment window, and see the entries on your bank statement for easier reconciliation.

Save customer payments in the new Undeposited Funds account, then pick and choose which to include on your deposit. Helpful in grouping deposits by credit cards payments only, or check or cash payments so your BusinessBasics deposits match your bank statements. Also helpful for adding any fees associated with a deposit.

  • MYOB Calendar: Now there’s three short cuts for entering a date:hit + or – to increase or decrease the date,type in the day of the current month and let BusinessBasics fill in the month and year, or hit the space bar to bring up the calendar and choose the date for BusinessBasics to enter.
