Seven years of transaction history
|
You can choose to keep up to seven years of transaction history during the Start a New Fiscal Year process (previously, this process purged all the previous year's transactions). The following transaction types can be kept:
- Closed transactions
- Unprocessed electronic payments and undeposited funds transactions
- Audit trail entries
- Unreconciled transactions in accounts that are reconciled
|
|
Previously, the budget for the following fiscal year could only be created at the end of the current fiscal year. With FirstEdge v3, you can now create your next year's budget at any time by selecting the required year from the Fiscal Year list. Additionally, you can:
- Assign budgets to individual accounts for month, quarter, half year or full year periods
- Enter budgets using the new Copy Amount to Following Months and Copy Previous Year's Actual Data buttons
-
- Import and export budgets

FirstEdge v3 lets you combine two detail accounts into a single detail account, providing they are of the same type. When accounts are combined, all account balances, jobs, history records, and recurring transactions associated with the two accounts are transferred to the primary account. The secondary account is then deleted.
|
|
You can also combine duplicate or similar cards of a single type (e.g., customer) into a single card record. When cards are combined, all transaction history, account balances, jobs, and recurring transactions associated with the two cards are transferred to the primary card. The secondary card is then deleted.

Recurring transaction enhancements
|
FirstEdge v3 brings ease-of-use enhancements to the recurring transactions list, including the ability to:
- Sort recurring transactions by name, type, or frequency
- Record pre-dated recurring transactions
- Search the recurring transactions list

Improved credit card processing
|
Are you an MYOB Merchant Account Service Member? We've made two authorization-request improvements to the credit card process:
- If an authorization times out, the message that appears now contains a link to the Payments Gateway
- If an authorization request is declined, the message that appears includes the option to either reverse or delete the payment transaction, depending on preference settings
