July Product Update, Release 12.0.9 for AccountEdge 2008

Follow the instructions below to download and install the July 2008 Product Update.

Be sure to read the instructions in full before starting the process; we also recommend that you print this page so you can refer to it as you follow this process.

  1. Prior to installing this update, quit AccountEdge and any virus protection software.

  2. To install this update correctly, your AccountEdge folder must be named MYOB AccountEdge 2008 (v8) and must reside in your Applications folder.

  3. Click the "Download" button at the end of these instructions.

  4. The Download Manager will appear and save the update file to your desktop or the download location that you have specified.

  5. To install this update, if the disk image has not automatically mounted on your desktop, double-click the file you downloaded onto your computer. Once mounted, open this disk image and double-click on the installer found inside. Follow the instructions that appear on your computer screen.

  6. On the “Select a Destination” screen, select the Macintosh HD.

  7. Be sure to install the update on each computer that runs MYOB AccountEdge 2008.

July Product Update, Release 12.0.9 for AccountEdge Network Edition 2008

Follow the instructions below to download and install the July 2008 Product Update.

VERY IMPORTANT

This download includes two updates that will need to be installed (FIleConnect and Product Update). These updates address various inventory issues and also include a FileConnect performance enhancement.

  1. Quit AccountEdge Network Edition on all Macintosh computers and turn off MYOB FileConnect from the System Preferences.

  2. Disable any virus protection software prior to installing this update.

  3. To install this update correctly, your AccountEdge Network Edition folder must be named MYOB AccountEdge NE 2008 (v8) and must reside in your Applications folder.

  4. Click the "Download" button at the end of these instructions.

  5. The Download Manager will appear and save the update file to your desktop or the download location that you have specified.

  6. To install these updates, if the disk image has not automatically mounted on your desktop, double-click the file you downloaded onto your computer. Once mounted, open this disk image and double-click on the FileConnect installer found inside. Follow the instructions that appear on your computer screen. The FileConnect update needs to be installed on the host computer only.

  7. After installing the FileConnect update, double-click the AENE_1209 update.

  8. On the “Select a Destination” screen, select the Macintosh HD.

  9. Install the update on each computer that uses MYOB AccountEdge Network Edition 2008.

  10. Once each workstation has been updated, you may turn on MYOB FileConnect on the Mac that is hosting company files.

July Product Update, Release 12.0.8 for Premier Accounting 2008

Follow the instructions below to download and install the July 2008 Product Update.

Be sure to read the instructions in full before starting the process; we also recommend that you print this page so you can refer to it as you follow this process.

  1. Exit out of MYOB Premier Accounting 2008 and disable any virus protection software prior to installing this update. MYOB Premier Accounting 2008 must be closed during the install.

  2. Download the update by clicking the "Download" button below. (You may receive a security warning - please select “Save” in this window.)

  3. You will need to select a location to save the download to. We suggest you select your Desktop.

  4. To install this update, double-click the file you downloaded onto your computer.

  5. Click "Yes" to "Setup will now update your MYOB Premier Accounting v17."

  6. Click "Yes" to agree to the License Agreement.

  7. Once the update is finished, click "OK" to "Setup has now finished updating MYOB Premier Accounting v17.”
